Lily has decided that she wants to ride her bike to and from everywhere she goes. The problem is that she doesn't like to break. She prefers to coast to a stop and, if necessary, gently put one foot down on the ground or slowly roll into something to stop. (She doesn't go very fast.)
It's important to note that she knows how to break. As is her normal modus operandi, however, Lily insists on an alternative method.
I had been trying to explain to her that at some point she's going to have to learn use the petal breaks rather than the apparently-much-cooler coast/foot method and decided it was time for a test.
I was walking alongside her (she was riding) and said "OK, Lily you're riding, riding and then I jump in front of you..."(which I did.) "Then what do you do?!?"
She continued straight into my legs and I had to put my hands down to stop her.
"Then I crash into you," she said.
